In addition, a visual element created by you, possibly a graph, chart, map, or photograph, must be used to support and amplify your ideas as a student in at least one portion of the essay. You should think critically about sources, examine how individual choices and decisions influenced the course of history, and consider the ways in which people engage with regional, national, or global communities.
You can and should refer to relevant historical information not mentioned in the documents, including class notes, readings, and discussions to provide context for your analysis of these sources. You must cite all relevant sources using footnotes at the bottom of each essay page.
Directions: The following question requires that you construct a 2-3 page essay utilizing the documents A-G provided on the following pages as well as your knowledge of the period to inform your analysis. You will also need to create a graph (or other visual element) to support and add to your ideas and reasoning. Compose your essay in the textboxes provided on the final two pages of this document
