The author and story for this parody paper is:
Brontë, Jane Eyre (1847) – (description of an event in which weather plays a role).
Identify the stylistic and thematic identities of each author (you’ll demonstrate this in your parody)
The parody paper is a single-spaced, one-page stylistic parodies of the author we’ve been studying (see the “EXAMPLE parody” file for an example). Show that you are sensitive to the stylistic peculiarities of each author.
Attach to the parody a cover sheet (see the “EXAMPLE cover sheet” file for an example) in which you list in bullet points five or six specific stylistic choices of the author you’ve parodied, as well as 3 examples of each of those stylistic choices from the novels (and the relevant page numbers) that illustrate these stylistic quirks or idiosyncrasies. You’ll find that these cover sheets are actually quite difficult to do well and will take up most of your time. The grade for this assignment is based primarily on the cover sheet, though exceptionally well-written parodies will help. The more specific you are in your explanations of what you’re seeing in the prose, and how it works, the better.
