LO1a: Critically appraise one given research paper including the Research Aim, Data Collection, Analysis and Findings, Sampling, ethical issues and research methods, Transferability / Generalisability and the implications/relevance to nursing practice: ie demonstrate a thorough evaluation of the positive and negative aspects of the research paper and should be clearly presented. The judgements put forward about the research methods, findings and ethical issues should be relevant and in-depth and the critical appraisal should be clearly evident with supporting references. The research paper is titled “living with Schizophrenia and Atypical medication, by Gill, A., Morrall, P. & Knapp, P. (2016) Vol.19(5), pp.12-19”
LO1b: Critically explore the relevance and impact of the appraised research paper with other literature in the field and propose recommendations for practice: ie The relevance and impact of the findings of the appraised paper should be supported by 2 literatures in the same field, in other words, the supporting Literature should be carefully selected to support discussion around the findings of the appraised paper. And lastly, identify with clarity recommendations for practice, both local and national and the recommendation should be affiliated within the findings of the research.
