Singapore Airline is the national airline with 70 years of history. Temasek Holding has a 56% stake in share. Its aircraft fly to 61 destinations and 31 countries with full-service flights under, Singapore Airlines, Silk Air and budget airlines, TigerAir and Sccot. SIA survives with increased competition from other rivals like Lufthansa, British Airways, Cathy Pacific, and the Gulf airlines. Other competitors include Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Etihad Airways.
SIA attained the highest profit in seven years with a net profit soaring to $892.9 million, up from $360.4 million, while the revenue increased from 6.3 percent to $15.81 billion, originating from all its business segments for FY17/18.
