For PHY 112 you are required to write a paper which will count as an exam grade. Your paper should explain a typical day in the life of you! You should include explanations of the activities you do using the definitions and equations we have learned in class. The guidelines for the paper and a brief example are listed below. Please see the Paper Grading Rubric for how your paper will be graded.
Title: “A Day in the Life of as Explained Through Physical Science”. (Insert your name in the blank space)
Introduction: The introduction paragraph should explain what physical science is and how we use it in everyday life. You should explain to your reader what you will be discussing in the paper (tell them what you will tell them).
Body Paragraphs: You should have several body paragraphs (one paragraph per task performed) in which you tell the reader what task you do, what variable it can be explained by, define the variable, give and define the equation, and calculate the equation using your personal measurements.
Conclusion: Your last paragraph should be your conclusion paragraph where you tie everything together in a nice summary (tell them what you told them – restate the important ideas from your paper). This paragraph should reiterate that physical science is used in everyday life.
Remember to cite ALL references used! If you used information from a website, book, article, blog, etc… you need to reference it here.
Your paper should:

• Cite at least 1 reference in APA format (your textbook, a website, an article… etc)
• Include 6 DIFFERENT equations we have studied in class, which you have made measurements for and have worked out! (You will have to take measurements of your everyday life in order to do this)
• Include a small picture of you taking a measurement for each equation you are using.
